Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Milk warm
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Dried fruits chopped
  • ½ cup Nuts chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. 2. Add sugar, butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
  3. 3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. 7. Punch down the dough and mix in dried fruits, nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  8. 8. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
  9. 9. Bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. 10. Let it cool before serving.
