German Pork Chops and Sauerkraut Recipe
A hearty and traditional German dish featuring tender pork chops and tangy sauerkraut.

Main Ingredients
- 4 pork chops bone-in or boneless
- 2 cups sauerkraut
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 cup apple peeled and sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds optional
- to taste salt and pepper
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
3. In a large skillet, brown the pork chops over medium-high heat. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and apple until soft.
5. Add the sauerkraut, chicken broth, brown sugar, and caraway seeds (if using) to the skillet. Stir well.
6. Place the pork chops on top of the sauerkraut mixture.
7. Cover the skillet and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
