German Apple Streusel Pie

Ingredients 

Pie Crust

  • 1 Pre-made pie crust

Filling

  • 6 cups Apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Streusel Topping

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pre-made pie crust in a pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Pour this mixture into the pie crust.
  4. In another bowl, prepare the streusel topping by combining flour, sugar, and cold butter. Use your fingers to mix until it forms a crumbly texture. Sprinkle this over the apple filling.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Let the pie cool before serving.
