Ingredients

  • 5 lb Prime Rib Roast
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C).
  2. Mix minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Rub the garlic mixture all over the prime rib roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
