Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ cup Warm water
  • 3 tablespoons Plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • ¼ cup Fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, yogurt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Knead the dough until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it with a rolling pin.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Brush the cooked naan with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic and chopped cilantro.
