Ingredients 

Banana Bars

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Ripe bananas mashed
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Frosting

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 4 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3-4 tablespoons Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla until well blended.
  4. Stir in mashed bananas.
  5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the banana mixture.
  6. Spread into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
  8. For frosting, in a mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve spreading consistency. Frost bars.
