  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into the batter alternately with the sour cream. Fold in the strawberries.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
