Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Make a well in the center and add the eggs, oil, and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
