Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 100 g unsalted butter cubed
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8-inch cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Stir until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool completely.
