Florentine Cookies Recipe

Main Ingredients
- ½ cup Butter unsalted
- ⅔ cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Heavy cream
- ¼ cup Honey
- 1 ½ cups Sliced almonds toasted
- ½ cup Candied orange peel chopped
- ⅓ cup All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Dark chocolate melted
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, heavy cream, and honey over medium heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the flour, almonds, and candied orange peel until well combined.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them well apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
Once cooled, spread the melted chocolate on the flat side of each cookie and let it set.
