Instructions
1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the beer, whisking until smooth.
3. Dip the fish fillets into the batter, coating them completely.
4. Fry the fish in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
5. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-6 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.
6. Serve the fish and chips hot with your favorite condiments.
