Main Ingredients
- 1 cup dried figs chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter melted
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- ½ teaspoon salt
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a saucepan, combine the chopped figs and milk. Heat until the figs are soft.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, brown sugar, melted butter, beaten eggs, and spices.
4. Add the fig mixture to the bowl and mix well.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased pudding mold or bowl.
6. Cover with aluminum foil and steam for 90 minutes.
7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
