Ingredients 

Falafel Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dried Chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley chopped
  • ¼ cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas.
  2. 2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and baking powder. Pulse until the mixture is coarse and grainy.
  3. 3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5. Form the mixture into small balls or patties and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. 6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
