Falafel Ingredients
- 1 cup Dried Chickpeas soaked overnight
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- ¼ cup Fresh Parsley chopped
- ¼ cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 2 tablespoon All-purpose Flour
- ¼ cup Vegetable Oil for frying
1. Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas.
2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and baking powder. Pulse until the mixture is coarse and grainy.
3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
5. Form the mixture into small balls or patties and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
