Doughnut Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- as needed oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut with a doughnut cutter.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry doughnuts until golden brown.
Place fried doughnuts on a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
