Deconstructed Stuffed Cabbage Casserole Recipe
A simpler take on the classic stuffed cabbage rolls, this casserole is hearty and delicious.

Main Ingredients
- 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a simmer.
In a large baking dish, layer half of the chopped cabbage. Pour half of the meat mixture over the cabbage. Repeat layers.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes, or until cabbage is tender and rice is cooked.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
