Danish Almond Puff Recipe
A delightful Danish pastry with a buttery crust, almond filling, and a sweet glaze.

Crust
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter cold
- 2 tablespoons water cold
Filling
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup butter
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- ¼ cup sliced almonds toasted
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
For the crust, mix flour and butter until crumbly. Add water and form into a ball. Press into a baking sheet.
For the filling, bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat, add almond extract and flour, then beat in eggs one at a time. Spread over crust.
Bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.
For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract. Drizzle over cooled puff and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
