Cross Buns Recipe
Traditional hot cross buns, perfect for Easter.

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Milk warm
- ½ cup Sugar
- 2 ¼ teaspoon Active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Butter melted
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1 cup Raisins
Cross Paste
- ½ cup Flour
- 5 tablespoon Water
1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2. Add flour, salt, melted butter, and beaten eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add raisins and knead until evenly distributed.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into buns. Place them on a baking tray.
6. For the cross paste, mix flour and water to form a thick paste. Pipe crosses onto each bun.
7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack.
