Dough
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Filling
- 1 cup fruit preserves any flavor
Topping
- ¼ cup powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about ⅛ inch thickness.
Cut into squares and place a small amount of fruit preserves in the center of each square.
Fold opposite corners of each square to the center and pinch together.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
