  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¼ cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
