This is a simple, no-egg, no-milk cake that's surprisingly delicious.

Main Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup water
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In an ungreased 8x8 baking pan, mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
Make three depressions in the dry ingredients. Pour the vinegar in one, the vanilla in another, and the vegetable oil in the third. Pour water over all. Mix until smooth.
Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool and serve.
