Cottage Pie Recipe
A classic comfort food made with ground beef and topped with creamy mashed potatoes.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- to taste salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add carrots and peas. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes on top.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
