Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • ¼ cup sliced green olives
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, sliced green olives, raisins, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add the water and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve hot with rice or warm tortillas.
