Ingredients 

Doughnuts

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cinnamon sugar for coating
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, ½ cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  6. Remove doughnuts with a slotted spoon and drain on a cooling rack.
  7. Roll warm doughnuts in remaining sugar mixed with cinnamon.
