- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar divided
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cinnamon sugar for coating
- 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, ½ cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Drop spoonfuls of dough into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Remove doughnuts with a slotted spoon and drain on a cooling rack.
Roll warm doughnuts in remaining sugar mixed with cinnamon.
