Ingredients 

Churros

  • 1 cup water
  • 2.5 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 quarts oil for frying
  • ½ cup sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating

Sundae

  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • ½ cup chocolate sauce
  • ¼ cup whipped cream
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, 2.5 tablespoon sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoon vegetable oil. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  2. Heat oil for frying in a deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375°F (190°C). Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a piping bag. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.
  3. Combine ½ cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  4. Place churros in serving bowls, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, top with whipped cream and chopped nuts.
