Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoon sugar, salt, and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  3. Let the mixture cool for 5 minutes, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 1-inch pieces of dough into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Combine ½ cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll warm churro bites in the mixture to coat.
