Chocolate Pecan Tart Recipe

Crust
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg beaten
Filling
- 1 cup pecan halves toasted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup light corn syrup
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the beaten egg and mix until the dough comes together.
Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Bake for 15 minutes, then let cool.
In another bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in the toasted pecans and chocolate chips.
Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake for 25 minutes or until set.
Let the tart cool completely before serving.
