Ingredients 

Cake Base

  • 200 grams Chocolate chopped
  • 100 grams Butter unsalted
  • 4 Eggs separated
  • 100 grams Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 200 ml Heavy Cream whipped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a springform pan.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with half of the sugar until pale and thick. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture gently. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
  6. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cake. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
