Chocolate Croissants Recipe

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter cold
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Milk warm
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. 2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough and spread cold butter over it. Fold and roll out again.
  5. 5. Repeat the folding and rolling process 3 times. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Roll out the dough and cut it into triangles. Place chocolate chips at the base and roll up.
  7. 7. Place croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. 8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
