Ingredients 

Caramel

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, heavy cream, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 245°F (118°C) on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and let it cool completely.
  5. Once cooled, cut the caramel into small squares.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  7. Dip each caramel square into the melted chocolate, then place back on the parchment paper to set.
