  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¾ cups milk
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Pour into serving dishes, let cool.
