  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 Eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
