Chinese Sweet Bun Dough Recipe
This is a recipe for a sweet and fluffy Chinese bun dough, perfect for making various types of buns.

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Yeast active dry
- 1 cup Warm water
- 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Pour the yeast mixture and vegetable oil into the flour mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and knead for another 5 minutes. Shape into buns and place on a baking sheet.
Let the buns rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the buns for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
