Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken cut into pieces
  • 1 lb Smoked Sausage sliced
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 cups Rice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, cook the chicken pieces over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2. In the same pot, add the smoked sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
  4. 4. Return the chicken and sausage to the pot. Add the chicken broth, rice, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. 6. Serve hot and enjoy!
