Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1 cup Maraschino Cherries chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips semi-sweet
  • 1 cup Peanuts chopped

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in chopped cherries and vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, melt chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler.
  5. Stir in chopped peanuts into the melted chocolate.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cherry mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover each cherry mound with the chocolate-peanut mixture.
  8. Let candies cool and set before serving.
