Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pitted cherries
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. In a blender, combine milk, sugar, eggs, flour, salt, and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour a thin layer of batter into the baking dish and bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, add cherries, and pour the remaining batter over them.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until puffed and golden.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
