Cherry Almond Tart Recipe
A delightful tart with a cherry and almond filling.

Tart Crust
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoon cold water
Filling
- 1 cup almond flour
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup cherries pitted and halved
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg yolk and cold water until dough forms. Press into a tart pan.
In another bowl, cream together almond flour, sugar, and softened butter. Beat in eggs and almond extract. Spread mixture over crust.
Arrange cherries on top of filling. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool before serving.
