Cheddar Jalapeño Pretzel Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 pcs jalapeños, diced
- 1 large egg beaten, for egg wash
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape into a pretzel.
Place pretzels on a baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
