- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper muffin liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about ⅔ full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
