- 2 lbs pork shoulder cut into strips
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon red food coloring optional
1. In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, Chinese rice wine, oyster sauce, sesame oil, five-spice powder, garlic, and red food coloring (if using).
2. Add pork strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
4. Place the marinated pork on a baking tray lined with foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes, basting occasionally with the remaining marinade.
