  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Pour into a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour over the caramel in the baking dish.
  4. Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with hot water. Bake for 30 minutes or until set.
  5. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
