Ingredients

  • 10 cups Popped popcorn
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Corn syrup
  • ½ cup Butter
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Place popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will bubble up.
  4. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Spread coated popcorn onto a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
