  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups Whole Milk
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour into a mixing bowl and let cool slightly. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
