  • 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup raisins

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the beaten eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg to the milk mixture. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Fold in the cubed bread and raisins, ensuring that all the bread is soaked in the milk mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
