Delicious peanut butter and chocolate treats that resemble the nut of the buckeye tree.

Main Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening
In a large mixing bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, and vanilla until blended.
Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until mixture is smooth.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring until smooth.
Insert a toothpick into each peanut butter ball and dip into melted chocolate, leaving a small portion of peanut butter visible at the top.
Return to wax paper-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until chocolate is set.
