Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons shortening

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter, butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until combined.
  3. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Chill for 30 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and shortening, stirring until smooth.
  5. Insert a toothpick into each peanut butter ball and dip into melted chocolate, leaving a small portion of peanut butter visible at the top.
  6. Place back on the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
