Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 2 cups Brown Sugar packed
- 4 Eggs large
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
