Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Broccoli florets
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in 1.5 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the steamed broccoli and cheese sauce. Transfer to a baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
