Ingredients 

Bread Pudding

  • 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 eggs, beaten

Whiskey Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and beaten eggs. Mix well.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes or until set.
  4. For the whiskey sauce, combine cream, sugar, whiskey, and butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
  5. Serve the bread pudding warm with whiskey sauce drizzled on top.
