Filling
- 4 cups blackberries fresh or frozen
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Topping
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup unsalted butter cold, cut into small pieces
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine blackberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Pour into a baking dish.
In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, and brown sugar. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the blackberry mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Let it cool slightly before serving.
