Main Ingredients
- 2 cups black raspberries fresh or frozen
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
1. In a saucepan, combine black raspberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until raspberries break down and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Let cool.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir in the cooled raspberry mixture.
3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
4. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 3 hours before serving.
